EdgeWater Worship Ministry

"He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.

Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the LORD."  -Psalm 40:3

At EdgeWater Church, we understand that worship is far more than good music that prompts good emotions.  While music is a great tool that can facilitate authentic worship, we believe that worship is better seen in a day-to-day lifestyle of sacrificial devotion (Romans 12:1-2) and practical obedience to the voice of God (John 14:15, 24).

In light of that understanding of authentic worship, EdgeWater Church gathers together weekly to celebrate all that God is doing in us and through us.  We gather to corporately praise and worship our God.  To make a simple distinction, praise is to tell others how good God is; whereas, worship is to tell God just how wonderful He is.

Praise is historically a concept that is external, and many times lacks intimacy.  Worship, on the other hand, is reserved for One who alone deserves sacrificial love and affection.  God alone, the God of the Bible, deserves our worship.  At Edgewater Church, we seek to join hearts in both praise and worship of our Great God.

Practically, Edgewater Church seeks to always be growing in the authenticity of our worship.  We try to be both biblical and practical in our selection of songs and music style (Colossians 3:16).  We are contemporary in our musical style, but never sacrifice truth for a particular sound.

The music ministry is only another tool to bring our people to a place of truthful praise and authentic worship.

We gather together weekly on Sunday mornings beginning at 10:30am to celebrate our awesome God.  Please join us as we worship together.
